Targeted Projects 3

We’re launching a new opportunity for organisations working in the tidal energy sector to get involved in our Targeted Projects initiative.

This initiative aims to develop a number of large-scale projects through a ‘top down approach’. This means we’ll work closely with French and UK partners to build the project and to complete the application form. The projects will tackle key issues that have been identified by the Programme as being particularly important to the economic and sustainable development of the Channel area.

Our latest Targeted Project will focus on:

  • Tidal stream energy (Project Lab Event - Date: 05 July 2018 Location: Lionsgate building, University of Portsmouth, Portsmouth)

We’re asking you to ‘register your interest’ if you would like to be involved in this project. Please note that if you would like to be considered as a potential partner in the project, you will need to be able to attend the project lab event, which is key to developing the project idea and partnership.

Please note that participation at the Project Lab does not guarantee a place on the project.

More details about the Tidal Targeted Project can be found in our handbook which you can download here.   Please read this carefully before registering your interest.

To register your interest, please click here. Registration will close at 18:00 (UK time) on 27 June 2018.

Earlier this year we started working on two other Targeted Projects that focused on hydrogen storage and reducing the seasonality of the tourism industry. We’re also planning to work on several other Targeted Projects – a list of the current projects can be found here.
