We’re adding two new projects to our list of approved projects. The latest projects were approved at a project selection committee in Beauvais, France.
The Programme has now approved a total of 20 projects, providing over 66 million euros of EU funding to 156 organisations.
Details of our two latest projects can be found below.
Accelerating Women’s Enterprise (AWE)
Specific Objective: 1.2 Social Innovation
ERDF: 2.8 million euros
AWE will bring together organisations working in business creation to address the gender imbalance in business start-ups. The project will use specialist mentors to help coach and support disadvantaged women with business skills such as finance management and marketing. The project is led by Cambridge based agency, YTKO Limited.
Marine Infrastructures Effects (Marineff)
Specific Objective: 3.2 Coastal and transitional water ecosystems
ERDF: 3.2 million euros
Marineff will bring together construction specialists and marine biologists to develop new materials for marine structures, such as dykes, piers and groynes, that will help improve the ecological status of coastal waters around the Channel. The project is led by ESITC, a construction and engineering school based in Caen.
