Trees underwater

Last summer, FCE Project H2o launched a great educational video to highlight the role of coastal marshlands and wetlands in mitigating climate change.

Watch the video here:

The project aims to test flooding and nature based-solutions in Kent (UK) and Pas-de-Calais (France), and demonstrate that they can mitigate climate change.

The project will implement Natural Flood Management through tree and hedge planting, the creation of dams and Natural Drought Management techniques, such as scrapes and channels, and will reduce pollution in transitional and coastal waters by 15% in pilot areas. This will also enable water quality to improve, by reducing the effects of pollution.
