Last summer, FCE Project H2o launched a great educational video to inform the public about the role of wetlands against climate change. If you haven’t watched it already, you can have a look by following the link just here: https://bit.ly/3mWoOrr
The project aims to test flooding and drought nature based-solutions in Kent (UK) and Pas-de-Calais (France), and demonstrate that they can mitigate climate change.
The project will implement Natural Flood Management through tree and hedge planting, the creation of leaky dams and Natural Drought Management techniques, such as scrapes and channels, and will reduce pollution in transitional and coastal waters by 15% in pilot areas. This will also enable water quality to improve, by reducing the effects of pollution.
