Projects Approved

We’ve approved two more Micro-Projects following a recent Project Selection Committee in Portsmouth. Details of our two latest Micro-Projects can be found below:

Project Name: Smarthealth
Specific Objective: Innovation
EU funding: €408,000

The project aims to help SMEs in France and the UK access new e-healthcare markets on both sides of the Channel, supporting them to create and implement innovative digital solutions for the health care industry.

Project Name: E-Channel
Specific Objective: Innovation
EU funding: €412,000

E-Channel will support SMEs working in the agro-food industry to increase their exports through e-commerce. The project will include the creation of an e-commerce platform as well as expert advice and feedback on product sales so SMEs can grow and adapt their business models.

With a co-financing rate of 80%, Micro-Projects are a great way for smaller organisations to take part in a cross-border project. Find out more here.

But that wasn’t all! We also approved a regular project at our committee meeting, bringing our total number of approved projects to 23 – over €68 million of EU funding invested into the Channel area. More information about the project can be found below:

Project Name: H20:Source2Seas
Specific Objective: Coastal and transitional water ecosystems
EU funding: €1.69 million

The project will significantly improve the water quality of a number of rivers flowing into the Channel by implementing natural flood and drought management techniques such as hedge planting and leaky dams.
