2024 REGIOSTARS awards open

The European Commission has launched the 2024 REGIOSTARS awards competition.  The REGIOSTARS are Europe’s label of excellence for EU-funded projects that demonstrate the impact and inclusiveness of regional development.  Beneficiaries of all Cohesion Policy-funded projects, including those from the European Regional Development Fund, are encouraged to submit their applications.

The competition is open to applications until 31 May 2024 and there are five thematic categories which are allied to cohesion policy objectives:

  • a competitive and smart Europe;
  • a green Europe;
  • a connected Europe;
  • a social and inclusive Europe;
  • a Europe closer to the Citizens

An independent jury of high-level experts will select the winners and the awards will be announced during the REGIOSTARS ceremony in Brussels on 9 October.

Two France (Channel) England projects have been previous winners.  In 2020 Coo-L Food won the award for ‘Sustainable growth: Circular Economy for a green Europe’ and in 2019 CobBauge won the award for ‘Connecting the Blue, the Green and the Grey’.

All details of the competition are available here. If you would like to submit an application for your project, then please email as soon as possible.  The Programme is able to support a maximum of five entries.
